Our History

RIP A LIP, LLC was founded in 2011 by two families who regularly fish the marshes, inlets, and bayous of the Gulf Coast, hoping to bag their limit of red fish, speckled trout, flounder, and other species native to the area.  The idea for Rip A Lip Fish Wear springs from the local slang used by area fishermen who regularly refer to “going fishing” as going to “Rip A Lip.”

Produced in Waveland, Mississippi, all Rip A Lip products feature the original artwork of popular Gulf Coast artist, Scott Blackwell.  Each work of art  is created specifically for Rip A Lip products and seeks to celebrate the excitement and culture of fishing in lakes, ponds, rivers, bayous and open waters across our great nation and world.

It is our hope that every time you see the Rip A Lip Fish Wear logo it brings you back to the excitement of that last great fishing trip when you hopefully had the opportunity to “Rip A Lip”.
